Butters in Texarkana TX

Butters is a male tan Dachshund. He is 2 years old and he weighs 18 pounds. Butters is neutered and vaccinated including rabies. Butters is heartworm negative and on monthly heartworm preventive. Butters is ready for adoption. Butters came to us through Caddo Parish shelter. He was fearful and reactive at the shelter but we felt he might be ok in a less stressful environment. It took a couple of weeks for Butters to “pop” as we call it, but since then he has been a load of fun. Butters is dog friendly and playful (not cat friendly). We prefer an adult only home for him. Butters is super smart and confident and could possibly be trained to do a job. Butters is affectionate and asks for attention. He has done fine with pottying outside, does well in a kennel and walks fine on a leash. Adoption fee is $250. Jeff Tarpley Rescue welcomes applications from homeowners, renters, and condo or apartment dwellers. At a minimum, a phone interview will be conducted and a vet reference checked before the applicant may meet their preferred pet. We adopt primarily in the 4 states of the ArkLaTexOma. Applicants willing to travel to Texarkana will also be considered with additional requirements to qualify as approved.
