Butterfinger

Butterfinger is currently in a foster home in Houston, TX and is eligible to transport to an adopter as soon as one is lined up! Meet Butterfinger! Butterfinger is the cutest little mutt around! Butterfinger, his mom and his siblings were dumped outside of a laundromat. A good Samaritan came across them, picked them up and took them in. As soon as we found out about this little family, we reached out to see if we could help with their vetting and finding them families! Butterfinger is estimated to be 6 months old (as of 4/5/24) and is a male. He is fully vaccinated and microchipped. Butterfinger currently weighs about 50 pounds with room to grow! We estimate he will grow to be a medium to large-sized pup. Momma dog is a shepherd / husky mix and about 50 pounds, but we have no clue who the puppy daddy is and what size / breed he is. Butterfinger will be neutered before he transports to an adopter. Butterfinger is dog friendly! He currently lives with multiple other dogs and loves running and playing with them in the yard. Butterfinger does have puppy energy (like most young pups his age) but he also enjoys being a couch potato too! He really enjoys puzzle games and toys too! Butterfinger has met cats and is more scared of them than anything. He tends to keep his distance from them. He's so young that we don't anticipate any issues! Butterfinger is kid friendly! He's been around children of all ages! From a toddler, to an 8 year old, to teenagers! He's great around everyone! Butterfinger is great on the leash! He's always on his best behavior when going out in public and meeting new people. He would make a great running companion as he stays right by his person during runs. He does get curious when he's walking, but he just wants to sniff around. Butterfinger is fully potty trained and crate trained! He currently goes into the crate while his foster mom is away from the home for work or errands. Butterfinger tries to steal his foster siblings food, so he is crated while he eats. Butterfinger would love a home with a yard OR an active family as he (and most puppies) have puppy energy to burn. Here's a small blurb about Butterfinger from his foster mom: Butterfinger loves to be loved on! He knows "sit" and is extremely smart! He was the first one to learn how to sit from his litter. He is a love bug and very good when we are out in public. He's great with meeting new people and would make a great adventure buddy! He loves learning new tricks and cuddles. Butterfinger is a vibrant & spunky pup! He’s a real cutie with those puppy dog eyes! It’s hard to say no to a face like his. He is beyond sweet and loves to follow me around the house. He is a very curious pup and tends to figure things out right away. He already knows how to tell me that he wants more water. He sits right in front of the empty water bowl! He makes such a wonderful companion and gets along very well with all ages & sizes of dogs. He is very respectful of space when it comes to dogs who need/want it. He sleeps in bed with me at night time and is the best snuggle buddy.
