Butter Bean - In Foster

Meet Butter Bean! He is a 1.5 year old Corgi/Basset Mix and he weighs 32lbs! Butter Bean was adopted by a neighbor of our Programs Director. They wanted him to be a companion for their elderly mother. After a few months, it seems Butter Bean is too much for her. They admit he's the perfect dog but they want to be able to walk him on a leash and he can pull his mother over on walks. They want a dog they can walk even though they have a fenced backyard. He is house trained and goes into his crate every night no problem. He has been to a few obedience classes and did great. He loves children. He can be a little scared outside with loud noises or loud cars. We think that's when he pulled the mom over by being scared by a loud noise. They said he rarely barks unless someone comes on their porch. He loves to play by himself and even chews his rubber bones to keep himself entertained. Our Programs Director fell in love with him as soon as she met him. He's such a sweet dog and we are happy to help them rehome him. He's still in his home for now until we have a space open available at Jefferson Feed.
