Butter is a 1 year old Irish-Airedale Terrier mix. Of course that would be the 'miniature' version of Airedale Terrier as if there was such a thing. As she only weighs 31.2lbs and is full grown so she's not a full size big dog but she's also not a lap dog. Oops, don't tell her she's not a lap dog, because she thinks she belongs up there anyway! Butter has a fabulous temperament and can get along with any person, big or small. If you're looking for a charasmatic, fun seeking, energetic dog, then there is no one who is better then Butter.
Butter is a fine example of a miniature smooth coated Airedale, if there was such a breed. Folks think we must have shaved the bottom half of her, but honestly, she came to us that way. She's unique-looking for sure, and we think that just adds to her many charms. Goofy could be Butter's middle name. She has that quality that so many Airedale enthusiasts love and will find adoring in our little girl.
Butter could easily be an only dog and she could also be a dog to go with another friend. Her friend would need to be playful and not mind that Butter hasn't had a lot of socialization. She's very sweet and has no idea that not every dog wants to play with her or instantly loves her. She's had her feelings hurt more than once when another dog decided that she wasn't his Princess. She simply loves everyone so why wouldn't they love her too?!
Butter is just too interested in the kitties. Though she currently lives with them, it took quite awhile to get her to stop seeking them out to play and they are use to dogs. There came a climax where eventually one had enough and in no uncertain terms told Butter and now she stays away from them but every new cat, it's the same thing...follow, pursue, seek out, play...
Butter is looking for her final destination. After being abandoned pregnant at the shelter, she deserves that home where she can rest her head...preferably on your lap...
