Meet Buster, a 72-pound Labrador hunk of a guy who is 7-8 years old!
This sweet boy has not had the best luck and is ready for a second chance at finding his forever family! He is a sweet pup who loves to be around his humans. He loves his attention and loves when he gets belly rubs. He is such a great dog and deserves the best!
He was with a New England family and had to be surrendered due to a change of life circumstance. We don't think he was in the best care while he was there. He came to us in a lot of pain in his legs and didn't like people touching his mouth. He has since had the proper vet care and although he does have arthritis in his legs he is doing so much better!
His foster says "My heart broke for this boy when he first came to me. I knew there was a sweet boy under there somewhere - but he was just too miserable to show it. He is now on Carprofen and a joint supplement and that has eased his pain so that his personality can come out. We are also going try a few Adequan injections for him too. He deserves everything we can do to make him comfortable enough that he doesn't worry about pain or being hurt. Buster is a little bit overweight so some slow exercise will help him get to his ideal body type which will also help his ankles.
This guy is handsome and sweet and has the softest fur I've ever pet! You can't even imagine! He has incredibly good manners too. He understands a gentle “NO”, is fully housebroken, walks nicely on a leash, loves car rides, LOVES water and all his toys. I know we dove into his profile with his medical stuff but trust us you will want to do everything you can to make this lovely boys life the best it can be. He is so worth it!!
Buster isn't the hugest fan of cats but he is living with one here now and does ok. He would be best with older kids (teens +).
