My Story

Our adoption application can be found at the bottom of this pet's bio. Once your application has been approved, we can arrange a virtual meet & greet for you & Buster! Buster is currently in a foster home in Houston, TX and is eligible to transport to an adopter as soon as one is lined up. Meet Buster! Buster is a 4 year old, male, lab / hound mix. Buster is fully vaccinated, microchipped, neutered and ready to find a family to call his own! Buster is extremely dog friendly! He loves other dogs and currently lives with 2 dogs. He is very gentle during play and is submissive when meeting new dogs. His foster family describes him as having a moderate energy level. He will relax and lounge around the house, but also enjoys running zoomies in the yard with his furry foster siblings. Buster has not met cats yet, so we're unsure how he would react. We would be happy to cat test him for any serious adopters with cats. Buster is super kid friendly! He has been around children ages 5-10 and is very gentle with everyone. He would love a home with children. His current human foster siblings have had birthday parties and other get togethers with children coming over to the home and he does well with everyone. Buster walks great on a leash! He will stay calmly by your side. Buster is fully potty trained and does not have accidents inside the home. He shares his toys, treats and foods very well with his foster siblings! He will even play tug with the 12 pound dog in the home and is very gentle. Buster does best if he's left to free roam. He does really well and will relax on the couch during the day without getting into any trouble. He will sleep in the crate at night if the door is left open, but he does get anxious if he's left in the crate with the door closed. Buster's current home isn't ideal, which is why he's being surrendered to us. His current mom works from 8 AM - 10 PM and Buster gets anxious being left for so long, but understandably so! Buster would love a home where someone isn't away for such long hours. He does well if he's left for a few hours at a time. Here are a few things that Buster's foster mom had to say about him: Buster is an absolute sweetheart! He's very mellow and relaxed. He loves kids and will lay on his back for belly rubs and even jump on the trampoline with the kids. He's not a fan of thunder or fireworks. We just love Buster so much and want the absolute best for him! Interested in learning more about Buster or applying to adopt him?
