I'm Enrolled In A Training Program: Yes-Waifs with Wisdom--To help me continue on my journey of learning, you do get a 30 minute private training lesson. I also have the cutest smile ever! And my ears are the talk of the town! I have been at the Canine Behavior center in the Peace Academy Program. They have helped me work on my tendency to quickly become frustrated. I didn't have a great start at life, and they have been able to help me work through it. I am quite the sweetheart who loves to learn and take on new experiences. I knew some things when I got there but have continued to build on sit. I am doing well with place, touch and wait. I am also doing very well with my leash skills, learning loose leash walk by checking in with my handlers at their left side. I have become a pro at it in fact. I am still a pup. I just celebrated my first birthday. I got a party with my friends and treats. My forever home would be best if children are over the age of 6. I can still be jumpy and might knock a little one over. I am an energetic guy, so I am looking for an active family that is able to provide me with plenty of physical and mental stimulation to help me be the best pup I can be. I am such a sweet and goofy guy that loves to go on walks, toss around the occasional plush toy, and receive some neck scratches from my people. I will make for such a fun addition to my new family. I really enjoy the company of other dogs. I can be rough with my play style, enjoying some wrestling, as well as some chase-type play mixed in. I can be overwhelming for some dogs but can also be overwhelmed by dogs who are higher energy or persistent with a rough and rude play style. Due to my mixed play style and energy level, it would be best for any potential canine companions to meet me prior to going home to ensure we are a good match for one another. Please note that in order to make the best match possible, potential adopters must come to the Wayside Waifs in person to meet with an adoption counselor and complete the adoption process. All members of the household (including other pets, if possible) should be present to ensure the chosen pet is compatible with everyone. We do not place holds or do adoptions over the phone and we do not ship pets.
