Howdy! My name is Buford and I am a handsome, stately gentlemen. I am well mannered with people and I know sit. I am only a few years old and likely a hound/lab mix of some sort. I walk well on the leash and am more of a laid back personality type. I absolutely LOVE my toys. I love to carry them around, bring them to you to show off, and toss them in the air! I am a little dorky becauseI live to organize my collection around my bed. I also LOVE a good ball and am great at fetch. I adore my person and it seems that I would be best as the only dog in the home as I really do like all the attention on me. Some of the time, I am fine with gentler, mild mannered dogs, but I tend to be bossy about my toys and get jealous when they are stealing my persons attention. I am currently in foster care off site, if interested in meeting me, please contact animal services to set up a meet and greet time! I cant wait to meet you!! Visit us and view our adoptable animals today! If you find an animal that you are interested in, all adoptable animals are available on a first come, first served basis once adoption is approved. Applications are not required prior to viewing our animals but must be completed prior to moving forward with an adoption. All of our adoption fees are currently waived! Animals adopted out are vaccinated for rabies and other common diseases, spayed or neutered, microchipped, and have received heartworm and flea prevention while at the shelter. Dogs are tested for heartworm disease and cats for feline leukemia and FIV. All Sumter County residents will receive a free County tag for their new pet!
