11-7-06 Arrived at the shelter.. .Full of matted hair and burrs.. had been running the woods "wild" for quite some time. "buffy" is a female, Lhasa Apso x? She was dumped with a little schnauzer x also on our site (scruffy) Both are about 1 yo. They have OBVIOUSLY never known love, or a good warm bed. These dogs LOVE each other and have obviously been EVERYTHING to each other.. they will bark at you but only to protect the other dog.. not themselves. I have been touching and spending time with both of them, but their bodies get rigid and they shake all over when you handle them, and they don't turn their head to look at you. they just roll their big beautiful eyes at you.. They are not mean, just very frightened of who will hurt them next. If you have a great home, and are able to work with these frightened dogs, please e mail us ASAP. www.wetzelpets.petfinder.com
