YOU MUST HAVE AN APPROVED APPLICATION IN ORDER TO MEET OUR PETS.
Buddy was found lying by the roadside on a highway in dire straits – emaciated (about 20 pounds underweight) and homeless, so weak he could barely stand, full of worms and with both eyes infected.
He was taken to the vet to receive all the needed care and he is now doing so much better, residing in a foster home, which he happily shares with other dogs, kids including toddlers, and farm animals.
Buddy is estimated to be between 5 to 7 years old. He is likely partially blind, with limited vision, possibly only discerning shadows and the vet thinks he may have been born that way. His reduced vision does not limit him or cause him stress and he is an easy dog to take care of!
He learns all about new surroundings very quickly and acclimates easily.
Buddy is a SUPER sweet guy, a total love bug, who only wants to be close to family. He is a humble, gentle guy with no expectations, so he greatly appreciates all love and kindness shown towards him.
He is well mannered and gentle and has no problem sharing space or food with other dogs.
He does not jump up on people.
He may have been a farm dog in his prior life since he is quite content to simply hang out calmly on a porch outside for extended periods of time, does great with farm animals, and he does not like being confined away from family (not a crate or dog lot kind of guy).
He is also fine with cats.
A fenced yard in his new home would be fabulous since he loves being outside and will hang out close to the house. He likes hanging out in a cozy dog house too.
Buddy walks nicely on a leash.
Buddy really is an amazing dog who has impressed us with his kind soul and peaceful nature.
He would do great in most any home in which someone was around most of the time and in which he was an integral part of daily family life. Being alone or isolated is not his cup of tea.
He would be ideal as a family dog in a home with lots of companionship (people and dogs) and a fenced yard in which he could freely enjoy the great outdoors.
Since he probably has never been a pampered inside dog, Buddy will need housetraining but he is smart, compliant and eager to make everyone happy so should learn quickly.
If you are looking for a very sweet, gentle, friendly, kind, easy going, affectionate, gets-along-with-the world kind of dog, please apply to meet Buddy!!
