Buddy

Hello, My name is Buddy. I am an older 9 yr old (approx age) small 5 pound male Chihuahua. I am neutered, micro-chipped, and up-to-date on my vaccines. All of my teeth were removed (completely rotted) last week therefore I prefer soft food and soft treats! I was found dodging cars in the streets of East Mesa until a nice young woman was kind enough to pick me up and hand me over to my foster Mom. I’m vocal when I can’t see my foster Mom so I would do best if you were home nearly 100% of the time. I do not do well with other dogs since I like to keep to myself. I tolerate my foster sister but growl and will lunge is she gets too close to me or my foster Mom. I like to lie down in my cozy bed and crate however, do not like if the crate door is closed and I will make sure you hear me by barking and howling. Allergies may be affecting me and may need a dose of children’s Benadryl. We’ll see if my coughing calms after sometime. I need a weekly bath because I tend to soil myself when I go to the bathroom (#1) but please be careful since I try everything to keep from getting one! Ha-ha…catch me if you can! I prefer to sleep in my own bed because I get thirsty a lot and will attempt to jump off a regular bed! I’m okay if you walk me on a leash but still need some training but please make sure you walk slowly. The doggy door is my best friend because I don’t do well with puppy pads or crate training since I can’t hold it in for long. In the right environment I’m very mellow and would make a good Velcro dog.
