"Will snap, if handled in a way he doesn't like." More bitey husky shelter crap. Seriously? For a stray, arriving at the shelter can be utterly bewildering. Suddenly, they're thrown into a world of strange smells and unfamiliar faces. Imagine their fear as they huddle in a corner, surrounded by the clamor of other frightened animals. Every noise, every unfamiliar touch, heightens their anxiety. And they get a few days, maybe a week, to adapt before they are labeled. Dogs that aren't snappy are "Adoptable" and dogs that are snappy..."Rescue Pull Only". That time frame sets the stage for the rest of their lives, those labels can sentence them to death. Pulled by H3 His name was on the red list after one business day. How is that fair? They didn't know anything about the real Buck. Behind all of that fear was a super fun dog. Who loves people and hugs. Seriously, he gives the absolute best hugs. Buck is an attention seeker. And makes sure to find his people when he wants some affection or a treat. If you have treats on you, he is going to find them. Definitely a higher energy boy, his age was estimated to be around 5 years old, but he has energy for days, so he could be younger. Buck does great with the other huskies here at the rescue, he is playful and respectful. He does not fight over food or attention. Buck is all husky and it's time for the world to truly see him. Because he is so much more than a label on a kennel card.
