My Story

If you are interested in adopting this dog, please fill out an Adoption Questionnaire at https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/43315/gener. You can learn about the adoption process by visiting: http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/howtoadopt/. Dog's Name: Bubba (BUB0524SMYMD) Estimated Breed: Dachshund / Chihuahua MIX Approximate Age: 2 years Approximate Weight: 13 lbs Currently Living at: Foster Adoption Fee: $400 DOG'S DESCRIPTION: Looking for double the love in a small package? Bubba's owner passed away and he is looking for a loving adopter who will provide him with the love and safety of a furever family. He might be litte timid upon arrival, but he will settle in nicely in a short time. Bubba is a bit of an escape artist and can climb a 4-foot chain link fence, so he either must be leashed or be in a home with a higher fence. Bubba is a friendly little guy, energetic but not over the top. He good with other dogs, big and small and would do best with calmer, older kids. Bubba is an all around sweetheart who can't wait to meet you! Do you have room in your heart and home? Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family. Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet. Foster Program: Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.
