Sweet Brutus found himself in a bit of a pickle after being dumped in the middle of nowhere. Emaciated, covered in fleas, and with a horrible case of mange, the odds were not stacked in his favor. Things looked bleak for him until an amazing person decided to take him into their home and provide him with some much-needed TLC to get him back on his feet. After getting all of the horrible f=leas off and giving Brutus plenty of groceries, she brought him to our shelter for some basic medical necessities as well as a heartworm test. Unfortunately, Brutus tested positive for heartworms and will soon begin antibiotics in preparation to be treated for those pesky critters.
In the meantime, he has been treated for his skin condition and is learning what being a loved dog is all about. His foster family can't keep him forever so, he would love to find a forever home so he doesn't have to return to the shelter.
