BREAKING NEWS!!! Brunetta passed her CGC (Canine Good Citizenship) evaluation in early January. This is quite an accomplishment because Brunetta is only 10 months old, a time when most older puppies have short attention spans and focus. Not only is she beautiful, but also smart, and a cracker jack with her training. Brunetta is a sweet and charming Belgian Shepherd Tervuren - Collie mix who is about 10 months old, and about 45 pounds. Still a puppy, she is growing into her large feet so we expect that when fully grown, she will be a large dog. Brunetta is very laid back and low key, bright and alert, loving and very friendly, and simply adorable. And she loves getting her belly rubbed! As you can tell by her pictures, Brunetta thrives on loving companionship and just wants to be your best friend. One night, Brunetta was thrown over the shelter's 6 foot fence. And sometime during the next consecutive night, another puppy who looks very similar to Brunetta, was also thrown over the fence. Most likely Brunetta and the other puppy, Spice, are litter mates. (We are happy to say that Spice is also a SOS Pen Pals dog.) Brunetta is receiving her obedience training at a Virginia correctional center.
