Brown

Brown is our ten year old camera shy boy who was recently given up by his owner and transferred to NLOL. Brown's owner was going through hard times and while he loved Brown veyr much, he unfortunately could not care for him any longer so he asked a local boarding facility (one of our partners) for help. He was living on the streets and wanted a better life for his canine companion. While we focus on dogs who are in need at Chicago's city pound, once we heard Brown's incredible story we were happy to admit him into the rescue and find him a great home.

Brown is a stout little man. He has an incredibly sweet disposition and gets along great with dogs and of course people, but no kitty cats please. Brown is currently living at one of our partner daycare boarding facilities and is doing great. Don't let his age fool you. He has lots of great doggie energy and enjoys playing with his canine pals. We're not sure what kind of mix Brown is - we call him a Chicago Brown Dog, but he could have some Beagle in him. When he gets excited to see his volunteer friends he lets out the most adorable little Beagle-like "aroooo!" Brown's zest for life is truly inspirational.

Brown would do well in any sort of home. He is just looking for a shot at a great life and we think that this adorable guy most certainly deserves it. He would probably do best in a home without very young children as he's a mature dog and probably would prefer not to have little tots climbing and pulling on him.
