Brooklyn unfortunately did not draw a winning hand when she entered this world. Although experiencing a difficult start to life, this sweet girl knows how to love! She’s happy and quick to learn, earn treats and give kisses. Brooklyn enjoys playing fetch and chasing squirrels. Brooklyn unfortunately spent the first year of her life either inside a crate alone indoors or tied to a fence left outside. She and her litter mate Bronx were neglected, malnourished, atrophied and hand shy when they arrived into foster. These last few weeks have been stressful for them as they move past the horrible ways they needed to exist before being rescued. Learning how to receive affection, playing, eating regular meals, and relieving themselves outside was all new for them. Brooklyn is looking for a home that can offer her a balance between structure and love with a solid routine. She is at a pivotal age where he is reaching maturity and proper guidance is needed to help her along the way. We feel she would do best with a confident but easy going dog who can help build her confidence to share her new home with. Brooklyn has not been tested with cats, and will chase chickens.
