August Brings Great News for BRODIE!

A few months of hard work, dedication, love, tlc and some doggie boot camp have helped Brodie and his new family! He will no longer be searching for a new home. The family who adopted him from TnT and was not sure they could keep him took on the challenges Brodie presented and took control of the situation. Congrats Brodie and thank you to his new home for not giving up on him!

Brodie may be needing a new home, again:
His family loves Brodie but feel he just may not come around. The in-laws are very worried about their cat and small animals as Brodie is way too interested in chasing them when he comes across them. Brodie is not a dog who can be let off-leash or unattended outdoors if there is any chance of him running into any smaller animals. This is for his safety as well as that of other animals.
Brodie has been a great jogging companion, is friendly and loves his new home and family. He has also made friends with the family Golden Retriever. He is actual pretty smitten with her and will miss her dearly if he has to be moved.
Brodie is good with most other dogs his size or larger. He would like to live with another laid back female companion. Brodie also likes kids, kids old enough to play fetch, run around with and understand he needs boundaries, needs to be kept away from smaller animals.
Brodie just needs a home that understands sometimes it is hard for dogs to get along with other animals, especially smaller ones. He also loves to excercise. He is housebroken, knows basic commands and is a big lazy lug once he gets his daily romp around. He is a real cuddler too; especially once he has been tuckered out.

Please contact us if you are interested in this healthy, active and loyal young boy.

His first foster home report, March 2007:

Brodie has now earned off-leash privileges on his forest walk and has discovered the joy of puddles and creeks! Brodie will be a great dog for a family or active person . Brodie is a happy dog who is really enjoying life and after 10 days in a foster home and a some basic training, Brodie has become a well behaved member of the family. Brodie comes when he is called, sits and waits for his meals, and heels nicely on his walks. He waits before jumping in and out of the truck and likes the window cracked, please! to stick his nose out. Brodie LOVES to run and it would be nice if a jogger or runner adopted him. Brodie likes to play with soft squeaky toys and likes to fetch a ball! All visitors to the house are impressed with how cute and how friendly Brodie is! When he is tired, Brodie just goes to bed, and he likes to sleep in too. Brodie really likes people and just wants to be your shadow. Brodie has also learned to be a good foster brother, and you can see from the pictures that our alpha female thinks Brodie is ok!

Upon arrival, March 2007:
Buddy is now in a fabulous foster home and his new foster family has changed his name to Brodie! A new name to start his new life!
Brodie is a happy young playful 1 year old who LIKES KIDS and loves people, he just wants to follow you around and be next to you! Brodie is good with other dogs and would love to have someone to play chase. Brodie is learning how to sit, come, leave it, and how to have good leash manners. Brodie is learning how to heel very quickly. Brodie has a soft blond coat and big brown eyes that look at you adoringly.
Brodie is so happy to be out of the shelter! Brodie will need a home that will make sure he gets his exercise and continues to be socialized. He really enjoys both and is such a good boy when he gets what any dog needs.
Brodie likes toys and fetching a ball, and would be a good jogging partner. Brodie is happy to be out of the shelter and is learning how to relax and be a Shar-pei.
He is still very young and does need some basic training but is eager to please and adores attention.

TnT and Brodie would like to thank the Richmond Animal Protection Services for contacting us to help Brodie when he was left in their care. We look forward to keeping in touch and sharing his new beginning story with you once he finds that perfect family.
