My Story
Personality: Gentle, outgoing, adaptable, calm, quiet, easygoing, eager-to-please, affectionate, patient, and smart.
Meet Brielle, a.k.a. Brie, who adores walks, lounging, and playing with food puzzles - but most of all loves her people. She wants to be near you (but not ON you) all the time. She loves belly rubs and pets of all kinds. This playful gal is learning that toys aren't just fun for chewing but for chasing too.
Fitting for a dog nicknamed after a cheese, Brie is very food-motivated - the promise of a tasty treat has already helped her learn words like "sit, "heel, "down, and "hugs, not to mention her name. She also seems to have mastered housetraining.
Brie (Brielle) is learning how to properly greet dogs she meets while out on leash walks. When it comes to humans, she loves every single one - but she understands you can't be with her 24/7, and she's also well-behaved when left alone uncrated. Brielle will just wait quietly for you to come home and give her some belly rubs.

City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is a foster-based rescue in Washington, DC. We do not have a shelter. CDCK has a thorough adoption process to find the best possible fit for each of our dogs and cats (we do not operate under a first-come, first-served model).
Upon accepting a new cat or dog into the organization, we provide a basic vet visit that includes necessary vaccinations, disease screenings, deworming, microchips, and spay/neuter for dogs six months and older. We do not provide a comprehensive medical exam before adoption. As a result, sickness, injury, and disability may exist unbeknownst to CDCK. City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is not responsible for payment of any vet care, including known and unknown medical conditions once a cat or dog is adopted from us.
Dog specific: Rabies, DHPP,Lepto and Bordetella vaccines. They are tested for HW, Lyme, Ehrlichia, Anaplasmosis.
Most cats and dogs will have a house-training accident in the initial days in their new home and we cannot guarantee any pet is housebroken or crate trained.
