Briar-adopted!

This is Briar! He is growing up into such a nice young dog. He is playful but not overly so. He is an easy going, gentle boy who just loves the cat and the other dogs he lives with. He knows all of his basic commands and walks nicely on leash. He is not a demanding pup and is very easy to have around. He loves a cuddle and a belly rub and enjoys a game of tug or fetch with his favorite stuffed toys. Briar is happy to have a rawhide or a kong filled with treats to chew on while we are out. Briar now weighs about 22 pounds so will be a perfect medium sized dog. He has a gorgeous coat that just glistens and is very beautiful. Now that he can jump up on the bed with ease, he is thrilled to have a cuddle on the bed in the morning before we start our day. Briar would be well suited to a family who has another gentle dog as he really enjoys the companionship and dog games but he doesn't enjoy rough play or harsh tumbling games. Definitions:

Pending - means that we are working through the adoption process with the 1st applicant. We usually don't add the pending until we are pretty sure the adoption will go through (like at the home visit stage)

On Trial or Trial Visit - means that the dog is in their new home for up to 2 weeks before the adopters need to commit to keeping the dog. We want to make sure that everyone is happy with the new living arrangements! We allow this option for everyone except very long distance adoptions (too far to drive).

Adopted - you know!! A happy ending for a homeless dog. We try to let everyone know when we have the final word. Within about 24 hours, the dog's bio will be moved to our happy tails section!
