My Story

BreAnna is a 19.9 lb. loving package thought to be a divine mix of Parson Russell Terrier (formerly known as Jack Russell Terrier) and Beagle. Only 15 inches tall at the shoulder and 17 inches from the base of her neck to the base of her tail, this little girl was estimated to be 9-10 mths. of age on 12/22/03. She was rescued from an Appalachian, WV high-kill shelter just before Christmas in anticipation of the mass euthanasia which normally precedes holiday closures of most pounds. She was just one of the many beautiful dogs in danger of death, but she was one of the lucky ones. With lots of love and responsible care, BreAnna will live to enjoy many holidays every year with some lucky family. Family? Oh, yes, BreAnna would like to have a human kid or two between the ages of 5 and 9, as well as another canine family member, with whom to share her energy and affection. There are no kids in her foster home now but she did spend a few days in another foster home where there were young children and she was fantastic with them., BreAnna plays and snuggles daily with many other dogs in her foster home. She appears to be housetrained as her foster mom has not caught her having any "accidents". BreAnna has been vaccinated, tested negative for heartworms, started on heartworm preventative and spayed.
