Brandy

Brandy is approximately 2 yrs old in these pictures taken March 16, 2009. She was found by a man who works at the NW AR Regional Airport in November 2008. He and his wife agreed to foster Brandy until LP could place her. When she was taken in to get spayed, we found out that she was too far along in her pregnancy to have it terminated.

Brandy gave birth to 10 pups on December 26, 2008. Two of the pups have passsed away but eight of them, Alma, Amity, Dublin, Etna, Madrid, Paris, Sweden, and Vegas(7 girls and 1 boy), are now ready for adoption. We think that the puppies will be between 25 - 35 pounds when grown.

Brandy is very loving, cuddly, and quiet. She is very well behaved and is housebroken but does have an accident once in awhile. Brandy loves to ride in the car, gets along with the cats, and is good on a leash. We do not know which she loves more, riding in the car or sitting on your lap.

Brandy does get nervous when there is a lot going on. We took her to an adoption event at Camp Bow Wow and she was very nervous because of the noise, lots of people, and many other dogs running around. While she seems to do fine with children of all ages, we believe that she would do best in a home with a couple or a family with teen children since she is so nervous with lots of commotion and loud noises.

ADOPTION FEE: $75.00 since she is under 25 pounds.

NOTE: Brandy is at a foster home NOT at the shelter. A completed application is required before an appointment to see her will be made. Thank you for understanding.
