THIS DOG IS IN A FOSTER HOME AND IS NOT AT THE SHELTER. At an estimated 2 years of age, this handsome Brittany Spaniel/Beagle mix weighed 35.1 lbs. on 1/7/04. Brandon was dewormed and treated for a sever cold (upper respiratory infection) and, within a month, he attained a healthy weight of 47.1 lbs. for his bone structure. He stands 15 inches tall at the shoulder and is about 20 inches from the base of his neck to the base of his tail. Brandon is fine with cats and most dogs. However, after being picked on by some dogs in his foster home, he began to pick on some of the other dogs (pecking order??). It is assumed that with only one other dog in a family he would be fine as long as they are equal in size and playfulness. Brandon would undoubtedly love having at least one other friendly dog and a human child or two around 7 years of age or older with whom he could play every day--preferably in a securely fenced yard. He is a very affectionate and gentle boy and would make a fabulous addition to a home oriented family to hang out, love, and play. After testing negative for heartworms, Brandon was started on heartworm preventative, vaccinated, and neutered. Additional photos will be emailed to prospective adoptors.
