My Story

Brad Pittie is the cutest little puppy with the funniest ears! Brad is an approximately 6 month old boy that is growing up in a kennel. He desperately needs to get out of the shelter, and get that puppy socialization and training that every well adjusted dog needs. Brad came into the shelter as a stray at only a few months old, and no one ever came to reclaim him. Since then, Brad Pittie has had an upper respiratory infection and was stuck in isolation for several weeks. While he was sick, Brad did not get the opportunity to socialize much with people and other dogs, so now that he is feeling better, he is ready to rock and roll! Brad is a typical puppy and is sometimes energetic and mouthy. He did well for his dog meet, although needs an older dog friend to give him a correction every once in awhile for being too crazy. Brad has been overlooked the entire time he has been at the shelter, and is just patiently waiting for his big break! This is what Brad's friends had to say about him in the shelter: Per staff 7/15: Did a meet - what a cute angel! Very sweet and surprisingly calm, although a little mouthy. Didn't want to get out of the kennel so I carried him, and didn't want to go back so I had to carry him from the cold club run. But was very sweet and was happy to curl up in my lap whenever I kneeled to encourage him. Per volunteer 7/14: Meet the Captain of the Itty Bitty Pittie Committee, Brad Pittie! Sweet Brad is a 4-5 month old pup who was found roaming the streets of Philly. Luckily he was brought in to safety from the heat wave by Animal Control Officers. Brad has won the hearts of everyone he has met so far and is just waiting for the right adopter to come along so he can win their heart too! Per volunteer 7/14: Very sweet little babe! He allowed me to leash him very nicely but then was a little too scared to step out of his kennel. I gave him some support with lifting his back side and he jumped down. He walked nicely for a puppy with no pulling and checked in with me. Outside in the play yard, he was super playful! Loved toys and chased after anything I threw. He had a little bit of puppy mouthiness but was very gentle overall. He chased the birds a few times in the yard. Super sweet boy, took pets from me and nuzzled into me! Per staff 6/22: Brad Pittie did well for his dog meet, but he was very "in your face" and quickly got frustrated. He would bark at the other dog and pull pretty hard when he was frustrated, but was still manageable. He would do best with tolerant dog friends!
