My Story

Meet the Bossman This boy is just SWEET! He is a very special bully. Rescued from Cheatham Co. Animal Control, Boscoe (aka Bossman) is staying at the Woof Waggin’ where he spends his days in daycare with his friends, and his free time cuddling with the staff – who have all fallen in love with his playful personality. Boscoe is a typical bully – and if you know anything about the breed, you will know that that means he is VERY ENERGETIC, excited, curious, affectionate, clownish, lovable, and EXTREMELY STRONG. Pitbull Rescue Central (PBRC.net), a national organization for education and awareness of Bully breeds, recommends that these breeds do their best when they are placed in homes as the only dog or with a compatible dog of the opposite sex, and we tend to agree. Boscoe does extremely well in play group with other dogs, but he is truly at his best when he’s playing with some of his rowdy girlfriends (and he has a few)! While Boscoe has always been SUPER friendly to all ages and sizes of people, and while people aggression is NOT a trait of this breed, we would recommend that he not be in a home with small children, ONLY because of his energy level and strength. – His happy tail alone can cause a bruise! The Bossman is approximately 2 years old. He is current on all of his shots including rabies and bordatella, and he has been neutered. He is approximately 50 lbs. and will definitely need an energetic owner or family, and a fenced yard. He’d be a great playmate for a rowdy female dog. Experienced Pitbull owners are preferred, as we believe that awareness through responsible ownership is a key to promoting a positive image for this incredible breed, and they do have specific traits and needs. If you’d like to know more about Boscoe, or if you’d like to meet him, please call Cindy Weiss at 615-578-1262, or at the Woof Waggin’ at 615-349-1787.
