Feb. 16 - Adopted!
Boone has gone to a great home on the island with another of his kind! He will be living on fully fenced acerage with a big lake nearby. Lucky Boone!!!
Boone is only 9 months old and already the size of a horse. We're thinking about putting a sadle on him and calling him a quarter horse. He is going to be one BIG dog. He is fun-loving, affectionate, and goofy. He was surrendered to the shelter as a purebred coonhound, but this boy ain't no coonhound. He definately has a whole lot of bloodhound in him, and what else is anybodies guess.
At this point Boone is all puppy, and needs to catch up on all the basic training he has missed so far. He has been an outside dog so he needs help with house-training. He does seem to have a hounds affinity for following his nose, does occasionally howl, but is more definately more attentive than many hound dogs. We would love to see him find an active home that is experienced with hounds, or extra extra large dogs. He seems to get along great with other dogs.
So if you are looking for a fun companion to go on adventures with, and like a dog whose head rests comfortably on table tops, then come down and meet our love Boone.
Boone is now ready for a new home as he has just been neutered at Tsawwassen Animal Hospital.
