Boomer

Boomer was born 3/09 and has been with our rescue since 6/2010. This 85# pooch was surrendered to us when his owner passed away.

Boomer is a wonderful dog that would do well in most families. Unfortunately his previous family didn't do a lot of entertaining therefore he can be shy and aloof with strangers. Loud noises and sudden movements startle him and make him run a few paces, however after a few seconds to catch his composure he'll quickly return to the source to see if there is any affection to follow. Boomer has the nose to the ground, always something new to sniff and trail. He has the thought process of a Bloodhound, and the bonded, loyal family pet personality of a Labrador.

Boomer is a very affectionate dog with people he knows. He would prefer to go to a family willing to boost his confidence and get him used to the usual comings and goings of life outside a secluded country home.

Boomer enjoys the activity of his canine play group and gains confidence from his canine companions. He isn't sure what felines are and while once in a while he'll sneak a glance, will ignore them for now. Boomer is crate trained but probably not housebroken.

Adoption Information:

Adoption clinics are held every Saturday from 10am – 2pm at PetSmart, 2216 E. Springs Drive. Most of our available dogs can be visited at that time. If you have an approved application, an appointment may be made to meet a dog at a different time. Our dogs have all been spay/neuter, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested, current on flea/tick prevention and heartworm prevention. We take care of any veterinary care prior to adoption. We offer a $50 rebate to adopters who complete a training class and send in proof of completion within 4 months of adoption.

Adult Dogs (over 1 year of age) - $238
Puppies (under 1 year of age) - $317
