Booker was a stray that ended up in the Cedar Rapids shelter. They are full so we took Booker in to help him and to make room so they can help another dog. He is up-to-date on shots, heartworm negative, and neutered. He is living in a foster home.
Booker is about 1-1/2-years old and weighs about 25 pounds. Booker is a lover boy! He stands kind of still the first 5 minutes or so he knows you but then he starts laying on the charm! Booker will cuddle right up to you and give you kisses and jump in your lap if you let him. He is working on his housetraining and is doing great in the crate. He listens well and comes when called. Booker gets along with other dogs and he is curious about the cats, but doesn't chase after them or bother them. He does well with the kids and gives them kisses. Booker is a pretty well behaved little guy that just wants someone to give him lots of love!
7/5/10 UPDATE: Booker had a good first night, and so far has been very sweet
and well behaved. Gets excited when someone first comes in
the door (happy to see everyone) and seems to be
housetrained, no accidents and goes as soon as we get him
outside. Really seems to like kids, he has tried to play
with our "grumpy old dog" and "backs down" when she lets
him know she is not interested. Likes to lay in my lap on
his back so I can rub his belly. He will make a great
family pet!
Will someone please adopt Booker and give him a forever home? $50.00 adoption fee. (his vet bill came to $93, he has a sponsor to cover part of the vet bill that is why his adoption fee is $50)

WE ARE A NO-KILL 501 C 3 NON-PROFIT RESCUE. All donations are tax deductible. We do not have a shelter yet. All pets live in foster homes. We only adopt to indoor homes.
