My Story

If you are interested in adopting this dog, please fill out an Adoption Questionnaire at https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/43315/gener. Dog's Name: Bonsai (BON0524ALAMD) Estimated Breed: Border Collie MIX Approximate Age: 8 months Approximate Weight: 40 lbs Currently Living at: Boarding Adoption Fee: $400 DOG'S DESCRIPTION: Hi, I'm Bonsai! My life is precious to me now since I was rescued from an Alabama shelter just in time! I'm all about fun and games, and I love to play, especially with other dogs. I love playing chase with them and running around, just having a good ole time! I'm young and full of life, always ready for a new adventure. I believe every day is a gift, and I'm eager to share my joy with a family who will love me. A local artist even did my portrait which will come with me when I'm adopted. Aren't I handsome! So why not fill out an application today and meet me, I'd love to create beautiful memories with you! Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family. Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet. Foster Program: Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home. For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/ or email our Foster Coordinator at [email protected] SPONSOR ME! Help Save Lives! Make a tax-deductible donation today and help save a life. Donations help us offset boarding costs and additional medical treatment for those dogs who need it. K-9 Lifesavers receives NO federal funding and survive with your generous support! We are all volunteer based organization so every cent from your donation goes directly to the dogs in our care.
