BONNIE

Bonnie is a very sweet petite shepherd mix. Weighing in at 38 lbs, Bonnie is a little shy at first, but warms up quite quickly. She does well with other dogs and people alike. Bonnie is a strong dog who is still working on her leash manners, and will need a strong handler who is ready to continue training. Bonnie needs an active home who can provide her with plenty of exercise, and ideally with the room to run in a secure fenced-in yard, perhaps as a number 2 dog. Bonnie is smart, eager to please, and ready to find her forever home! If you're interested in adopting or fostering Bonnie, please fill out an application. Notes from a volunteer that recently spent time with her: Needs time and patience to build trust/confidence and bond with her new family. I do not anticipate that it would take a long time (probably a couple of weeks). Once that bond is established, Bonnie would be glued to her person's hip and would make the most amazing companion: loyal, attentive, observant, intelligent, and so very sweet. Please give her space and let her come to you, on her terms. I would not suggest young kids unless parents are in full control/manage properly. High flight risk, so please keep her on leash/slip lead and supervised until she is bonded to her new family/environment. Great with other dogs. She would thrive in a company of another confident dog that can model confidence/positive behavior.
