Bode
Adopted
Breed
West Highland White Terrier / Westie, Yorkshire Terrier
Bode is a 1+ year old Westie-Yorkie mix who has skiied his way into our hearts! He was rescue from the shelter along with his friend Lindsey another Gold Medal winning dog who otherwise would have been killed at the shelter. Bode weighs about 13-14lbs. He's a healthy little guy who is quiet and a lover boy. He gets along well with other dogs and is an option for kids.
Bode may just be a tad bit shy but it dissipates as he gets to know his family. He's not likely one who will run away from people but rather he'll cling to the folks he does know. He literally clings -- He will wrap his front legs around your leg as if to give you a hug and say, 'Please! Don't leave me.' It's kind of cute and it's definitely his trademark.
Bode is crate trained, not a barker and is happy being inside. He would be a good option to go with other dogs and especially a confident dog whose lead he could follow. Bode would be an option for children who have had experience with dogs and are at least over the age of 6 not necessarily because of his temperament but more so because he'd be scared of kids who would pull and tug on him.
