Bobby McGee is an unknown Spaniel-mix - we think perhaps Field Spaniel - a gorgeous 2-year old dog who is friendly with all dogs and people, but who can scale a 5-foot fence. He needs a home with a 6-foot privacy fence or a home in the country where he will be safe from vehicles should he take a trip around the neighborhood. He is taller and longer than a Cocker with long legs, a long tail and a lean body. His coloring is chocolate and carmel colored, but not the dark chocolate/liver color that we see in Cockers. He is young and energetic, so he would do well with an active family who can provide him with lots of daily exercise. He would make a great running partner! He LOVES to play with other dogs and people and gets along well with children as young as 8 in his foster home. Based on his personality, we're sure he would get along well with younger children as well. We're not sure how he would react to cats.
Bobby weighs 30 lbs, neutered, up to date on vaccines, heart worm tested negative and ready for you to love him! He loves riding in the car, responds well to ‘no’, ‘off’, ‘good boy’ , especially good boy!! He is super sweet, friendly, loving, and active. He loves to play ball and run with the other dogs, he is not alpha and is very fun loving. He responds to his name and comes when turned lose. He does quite well in the crate. We are working on the house training. He is pretty good and does not seem to go in the house, however he's taken outside a lot.
