My Story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.UPDATED! NEW PHOTOS COMING SOON!Bobbi Sue is a beauty -- inside and out, and affection is where she truly shines! We want to share all about her loving and gentle personality, but will first explain what has been going on with her medical care. Bobbi Sue came to us in March from a County shelter with a condition called 'cherry eye' in both eyes where the gland in the third eyelid has prolapsed and forms a little cyst that looks similar to a cherry. Repair surgery for Bobbi Sue was performed on April 1st. Her right eye healed very well but the left eye did not correct as well. Over time we tried steroid and antibiotic ointments and minor corrections to help her left eye appear normal. Then in early July our Veterinarian performed a second surgery to reduce the appearance of her third eyelid. Success! She looks great!! Bobbi Sue may be a little camera shy but she adores cuddling up with her person or with other dogs. Her shy nature often leads her to retreat or even roll over in submissive posture when approached too quickly, but her desire for affection is unmistakable. She's confident with other dogs, but if they become too exuberant with her, Bobbi Sue's corrections are gentle and appropriate. She does well being crated and currently is at meal times and during the night. Bobbi Sue is house trained, but she uses a doggie door to go outside to a fenced yard. She is heartworm negative and ready to find a family who can continue to show her safety, patience and love.
