My Story

"Get your kleenex ready - this will break your heart" WE ARE THE ONLY ONES LEFT - WE PROMISE WE WON'T ASK FOR MUCH!! Hello everyone. My name is Bo and I have a long life story. I was taken in by a nice lady that just wanted to help rescue dogs but she found she just couldn't let us go, so she ended up keeping us. US, meaning that she kept quite a few of the babies she took in. Now I was NEVER mistreated! I was neutered, kept up to date on all my vaccinations and I was given attention and a companion but I was just bigger than she could keep in her home so from the time I was a small boy, I was kept outside. I had comfortable digs (as you will see in the photos) and I added a photo of my friend "Mickey" who has been my lifelong companion. We were allowed to come inside when the weather was bad or cold and we were kept in crates when we came indoors. I'm 13 years old now and my mommy has had to go to a memory care facility and me and my best friend are the only ones left at the home. My other friends have found homes. The donkey's have even found homes. Nobody wants us because we are older and because we have been outside and because in a beautiful world, I would get to stay with my best friend! The nice ladies from Music City Animal Rescue have visited with us and said we are VERY sweet. We sure enjoyed the attention and getting to play ball a little with them. They said we would truly enjoy coming inside to live in our older age so we didn't have to suffer thru the heat. When me and Mickey were brought in during bad weather, we NEVER made a mess in our crates. We know outside is where you go potty. We don't ask for much. We can be independent. We just don't want to be left alone or to die because nobody wants an older dog. We can't promise that we won't get sick sometime, but we are healthy now. Please consider letting us come to your home. We hate to see the nice ladies at MCAR cry because they don't have a foster home for us. We don't know how much time we have left here and we don't know what they will do with us if we don't find a home so, please help us find a home. ME and MICKEY!! We need your help!! Thank you!!
