Bluey is a silver fox, who was found in Chicago as a starved stray, in the middle of a cold January winter. His finders took him to CACC where he was nearly euthanized due to his severe medical conditions. After a quick pit stop at the emergency vet he’s been recovering and now thriving in foster care with PFP.
Bluey is likely around 12 years old and is looking for the perfect home to spend his golden years in. We don't know what he's been through but we know he loves giving love, and just wants to be someone's best friend. Bluey is pretty calm with small bursts of energy, like when you first let him out, or when playing fetch, etc. Bluey is a very good boy, who likes to just hang around and chew on a bone or ball. He’s basically your grandpa that puts a little too much food on his plate at thanksgiving dinner. Bluey is crate trained and knows "sit" and we think it's possible he knows commands in Spanish! He does well with the kids in the foster home, but it is always important for kids around any dog to be respectful of the dog's boundaries, especially an older dog! He does like other dogs, but does not tolerate being humped, don't ask how we know...
Bluey just needs someone to give him a chance, he has SO much love to give. Will you be his forever?
A special thank you to the Hunt family, who has so generously sponsored the Adoption Fee for Bluey, in memory of their dog that recently crossed the rainbow bridge.
