We really do not want to waste anyone's time if you are not serious about adopting this dog. Bluey, 10 weeks (estimated DOB April 2024), male, Pitbull mix, estimated to be large size when full grown. He is in a foster home in SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS and can transport out of State once an adopter is approved. He was being given away when one of our fosters came across him. She immediately scooped him up! Bluey is very much a typical puppy. He shares a home with several other puppies and adult dogs. There is another female puppy in the home (seen in the pictures/video) and they are always having fun. We would prefer another dog in the home who can continue to provide socialization in a positive manner. He is now housebroken but would not be surprised if he had a few accidents in a new home. He has spent some time crated. He has not been around cats or kids. We think he would do well with kids who both understand and respect animal boundaries. He is extremely sweet and cuddly. He likes to chew so supervision is very important. We are taking our best guesses as to what breeds make up this guy. We think he will be on the larger side when full grown, so it's important you are open to whatever size he ends up being. Bluey is looking for a home who has an understanding of raising puppies into adult hood. This can be prior experience or someone who will seek support as needed (training, friends/family). Puppies bring so much joy, but also need intentional and committed attention. They need help socializing with new people, other dogs, leash work and basic obedience. Puppies under 6 months of age are placed on a spay/neuter contract until they are old enough to be altered. For puppies this age, someone needs to be home more than they are away as crating them for long periods of time is not conducive for their developmental needs. This means if you work outside of the home longer than 4 hours, you will need to explain who will come over to help out. Otherwise, we will not consider your application for this puppy. ***Listed BREED and AGE - We are taking our best guess & recommendations from our veterinarian on age, breed and size when fully grown.
