My Story

Rest in peace old man.

Blue is an older (10 - 14?) male who endears himself to everyone. Easy-peasy, wiggly, kissy, happy , waggly all around stellar fantastic dog waiting for that special forever home. He is good with dogs and probably good with cats as well. He is currently living on Vancouver Island, in foster care with Bully Buddies.
Update from his foster family:

So what can we tell you about Blue. We have had him for about 5 months now and he has fit in since day one. He is a great dog and offers the best of both worlds when it comes to his activity level. He loves walks and will keep up with you for a good 30-40 minutes but is also quite content exploring in the yard for a little while and doing his business there too. He isn't a bit fan of rain and will race out and go and then race back in which works for us. As long as he knows he can come back in when he is ready he is quite happy to explore. He is great on a leash and has no pulling issues at all. If he sees something that he is interested in and tries to go ahead of us, one quick light tug on the leash snaps him right out of it. He hasn't had any issues with arthritis or anything like that and he goes for truck rides with Ryan and jumps right in on his own. Both of us wor k 9-5 Monday to Friday and he is happy sleeping on his bed (and occasionally ours) until we get home. He loves treats and will sit, shake a paw, and lay down on command. He cuddles when ever you are up for it and is content staying there with you until you want to get up. I was home sick recently with that awful cold that is going around and he laid in bed with me pretty much all day. Other than occasional snoring he is great! He does have his weird little noises that is for sure but he isn't a barker or whiner at all. Sometimes if you are sitting there and he thinks you have ignored him for too long he will start this low groan which is hilarious because that is when a dog would normally whine but not Blue.

He shows a bit too much interest in neighborhood cats so I don't know how he would be with a cat living with him. Maybe a dog savy cat. He also is border line obsessed with birds so I would rule out chickens etc for sure. I don't know what he would actually do if given the chance but there is a lot of interest there. I hope this helps and please email if you have any other questions or would like to meet Blue. We are in Victoria.
