Blue: At the shelter

Who knew he could already knew how to "sit," "give paw," and "down" and was just patiently waiting for us to give him the hand signals followed by the oral commands, and good treats to follow! We opened up a treasure trove to all kinds of riches when we asked those commands of him! One thing we have noticed is that Blue is timid and reticent around men. We are not sure if it's the baseball hats, the facial hair, or just the deeper voices, but male humans are something he is wary of, and we are noting this trait as we work with him. Our goal of course is to help him overcome his reticence, but that will take time, and we don't like to ask more of him than he can emotionally handle right now. Our BLUE BOY is pretty amazing as he is, and we will continue the happy days of training and fun walks while we find him a home. Hello, I'm Blue. My shyness might make our first meeting seem a little awkward, but give me a little time. I promise, I'm worth the wait. Once I warm up, I become the snuggliest buddy you could ever wish for. I love curling up for a good snuggle session. I might be a little reserved, but my heart is filled with love to give.
