My Story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hello my name is Blue. I am a 55lb male American Coonhound coming from NC. I found my human while hiking on the Appalachian trail. I was tired, really hungry and scared. Luckily I came across some cool hikers and find myself in MN in good health and a home with a lot of love. Getting used to being an inside dog and going potty outside, it is going a lot better as long as I can get outside consistently. Being a tracking dog I like to walk/run so a fenced yard and a family who can walk me consistently is really important. Otherwise I will need to be on a leash to go potty in the rain, heat, snow and cold and who wants to do that. My social skills are pretty good, I have been around other dogs and am learning to play but not sure about cats. I can be skittish when first meeting you and have met a kid one time and was fine. My bark sounds like a seal barking but I don't use it much, I'm kind of a quiet dog. I go for long walks everyday and that helps my energy level. I'm pretty good on walks and respond to verbal cues and leash correction most of the time. I like to follow you everywhere sometimes and others I relax. I am always interested in what your eating. I do make mistakes and am stubborn at times but if you are patient and understanding with me I respond and will learn. What Blue needs is a loving home where he can be an energetic family dog that has the time and love to invest in him. He has many years a head of him to be a great addition to his forever home. Blue is a really good boy-click here to see him at the dog park! Blue is from A local owner surrender. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract.
