NOTE: OUR BIG BABY BLUE IS JOINING THE SNIVELY FAMILY. THEY LOVED HIS SINGING AND WE LOVED HOW THEY INTERACTED WTIH BLUE. HE WILL BE CARED FOR AND HAPPY FOR THE REST OF HIS LIFE IN A GREAT HOME. THANKS!! Blue is a 10 week old pure bred Blue Tick Coonhound. He is adorable. We would like to place Blue in a home that has Coonhound experience. We have Blue because a family got him when he was 8 weeks old and knew nothing about having a puppy and even less about having a Coonhound puppy. As you can see they lasted only 2 weeks before screaming for help. Coonhounds are very vocal. You are not going to be able to train him not to be. Their baying is part of their breeding and people who know and love Coonhounds love to her them "sing." Coonhounds, by nature, are sweet and calm, they love children and make great family pets. BUT we can't forget that they are hunting dogs and therefore require daily exercise. Although Blue does not need to live in the country and coon hunt, he will need a fenced in yard and a family that wants an interactive dog. He is not a dog that will work well with a family that is gone more than they are home. Like any puppy, Blue will need to go to obedience class and be trained in order to be a good family member. The next spot for this darling little puppy needs to be his last. He is cute but he is a project and he will require your commitment to see him through puppy hood and into a great adult dog.
