Blue was re-united with his owner, Sara W of Kennewick after she saw our posting on Petfinder and on Craiglist. He is
an energetic, enthusiastic, happy guy who loves to play. His first
choice would be to play with his person - but if you're otherwise
occupied, he can keep himself busy for ages with a few toys and maybe,
for a change of pace, a passing bird or squirrel. Take a look at our
video to see this energetic young fellow in action!
He turned up out of the blue at
his foster mom's front door, and refused to leave. He was hungry, and
desperate to make friends. No one has claimed him, so this boy needs a
forever family that will take the time to win his trust and give him
the loving attention he needs.
A vet told us he was purebred
blue heeler, but we're more inclined to think he's a mix, with that
lean, rangy body. We estimate he was born in about summer of 2008, and
he weighs around 55 lb.
He is smart, with a high
retrieving drive, and has clearly had some basic training. We'd love to
see him in a home with an active family, or even with people who will
give him a job to do. He is great with his foster mom's little
grandson, but because Blue tends to be possessive of toys we feel he'd
do best in a family without children under eight years. He gets on well
with other dogs.
Blue is currently fostered in
the Tri-Cities, Eastern WA, but we will work with approved adopters to
get him to a forever home anywhere in the Pacific Northwest. If you'd like to know more about him and arrange
