A passerby recognized her since her owner lived in the same building as them. They believe that the owner moved and left the dog behind. My ideal home: While we don't have a history on Blizzard, we do know she's a young, enthusiastic, and social dog who will thrive with daily mental and physical activities. To keep her happily engaged and exercised, we recommend long-lasting chews, food puzzles, and fun hide-and-seek games, along with plenty of physical exercise. With the right activities, her energy and enthusiasm will be positively directed! Good with other pets? We have no history of Blizzard's previous dog interactions, but at the shelter Blizzard was calm and willing to meet other dogs during her assessments, so she might get along well with new doggy friends with proper introductions and socialization. We always suggest slow introductions with resident pets, and we offer a 2-week trial adoption to help you see if Blizzard is a good fit with your family. Since ACC doesn't test with cats, we're not sure how she'd do with feline friends, but we can help you with tips and advice! Good with kids? Since Blizzard came to us as a stray, we don't have much information about her past. For now, we think she'll do best in an adult home, as she is still fearful. She would need a home that is able to provide her with patience and training. Once she feels safe and comfortable, she'll be a wonderful addition to a loving family! How is my health? Blizzard is medically healthy! How are my leash manners? Blizzard has been observed to pull on the leash. She would benefit from receiving some training with positive reinforcement. She is nonreactive to humans and dogs on walks. What is my behavior assessment? Blizzard has been assessed as a Level 3 dog. Blizzard would need an experienced owner that can help her with her fearfulness and leash pulling. With training, patience, and understanding, she'll make a wonderful companion.
