He is 3 years old and weights 52 lbs. Blackie is house-trained and potty-trained. He may prefer an open crate in an empty room with a cozy bed, providing him with a comfortable space to relax and unwind. Blackie is generally calm and passive when faced with new environments, but he may become overexcited and lose focus. With a little patience and reassurance, he quickly settles down and continues to explore with curiosity. While Blackie doesn't have any known fears, he may be hesitant about being touched by strangers, especially around his back end and feet. A slow approach and gentle introduction can help him feel more comfortable. Blackie is a smart boy who knows basic commands like sit and wait. He also responds to kissy noises and comes running when called by the name "B." With a moderate energy level, Blackie enjoys a good balance of playtime and relaxation. Blackie loves furry plush toys and is quite athletic. He enjoys playing fetch and going for long walks. He may pull on leashes and have a tendency to steal toys when he gets excited. Consistent training and positive reinforcement will help him overcome these behaviors and become the best version of himself. Blackie is currently in a foster home with another dog. We recommend that Blackie be adopted in a household without cats. He isn't used to living with cats and becomes overexcited when he sees them.
