My Story
Happy. Friendly. Fun. Affectionate. Cuddly. Bjorn looks into your eyes and wants to connect, giving you his full attention as if to ask if you'll be his forever home. If you're looking for the best friend you could imagine, this is your guy. Bjorn is "basically perfect," according to his foster mom. And how can you resist that one-ear-up, adorable face?
Bjorn recently enjoyed watching some of the "Shark Week" specials on NatGeo, which gave rise to the silly photo of him escaping a shark on a surfboard. If he was a human, we think he would enjoy that type of adventure!
Bjorn is super on walks, enjoying time outside with his human and ignoring vehicles, bikes and other distractions. Rides nicely in the car, happy to run errands on Saturday morning and stop for ice cream in the afternoon. Medium energy, content with a nice walk each day and playtime in the yard. Cheerfully up for bigger excursions if his people are interested. Meets new people well, easily charming them to join the Bjorn Fan Club in no time!
Eager to please, Bjorn wants to take training classes where he gets lots of yummy treats for being with his best friends and learning new things. He's amazingly quick, picking up new concepts with ease. Older kids who enjoy snuggling or a 4-legged tagalong will have an instant best friend in Bjorn. Demonstrates advanced dog skills, making canine friends with ease. We prefer he join a home with another pup so he has a built in buddy.
A fenced yard would be perfect for Bjorn to indulge in games of fetch that he loves so much. He is also suited for an adult family who keeps dogs safe without a fence. He is living with a kitty and is curious about her, but respects her space.
Bjorn relaxes in his crate when he can see his people. If they are out of sight, he protests for a few minutes before settling with a frozen kong or chew toy. Housetraining is coming along really well but he might forget to go if there are shenanigans to be had in the yard. He is a puppy learning each day – basic manners, what he can chew on, and a million other things.
His foster mom says “This silly, lovable puppy is so happy, he makes anyone around him feel the same. He loves toys and food and life in general. He’s going to make an amazing pet!”
Bjorn is being fostered in Minneapolis, MN. Born in August 2023, he weighs approx 45# and will mature around 50#. We think Bjorn is a mix of Border Collie and Cattle Dog.
