URGENT, SHELTER IS FULL AND ASKING FOR HELP; MAY BE ADOPTABLE WITH A WAIVER, OR A FOSTER AND RESCUE IS NEEDED FOR THIS DEAR BOY- APPROX 3 YRS OLD, DID OK W DOG HE MET- CHOW SAVVY HOME, FOSTER (OR FOSTER TO ADOPT) AND/OR RESCUE NEEDED ASAP Please help us find a loving home or foster (or foster to adopt) and/or rescue asap for this young gentleman the Long Beach shelter fondly named “Bjorn”. The finder originally contacted us when he was found in neglected condition, and could not keep him. At the shelter, he was understandably scared on intake as many chows are, but has warmed up to people and we have several videos to share with people and also with another dog he did fine with. However, he will do best in a chow savvy home familiar with the breed. Bjorn has been estimated to be three years young, weights 70 lbs, came in with a very thick, matted coat and ocular discharge, 8. He was shaven at time of neuter due to severe matting. It has also low been confirmed Bjorn has entropion in both eyes. He is therefore available for rescue or special needs adoption (with waiver for eyes). We can pair interested and qualified adopters with a rescue group to assist with this if needed as a foster to adopt situation.
