Birch

Birch, a two-year-old French Bulldog weighing 23 pounds, is endearingly affectionate, house-trained, and gets along well with children and most dogs, though he is not compatible with cats. Birch is likely congenitally deaf, which impacts his vocalization and necessitates constant companionship to prevent anxiety when alone. He struggles with crate training and will attempt to escape, but he finds joy in walks and car rides. Birch requires a nurturing, empathetic, and loving home that can support his unique needs. He would flourish in an environment with someone who has experience in caring for deaf dogs, although this is not an absolute requirement. The ideal scenario would be a home with someone who works from home or a retiree who spends a lot of time at home. Birch is heartworm negative, neutered, and microchipped. He is presently in a foster home in Houston, Texas, and we prefer to organize his adoption within the surrounding area if possible.
