I am a gentle and loving pup who's looking for a forever home where I can share my sweet and cuddly nature. At first, I might seem a bit reserved, but with patience and kindness, I quickly warm up and show my affectionate side. Sometimes, things like big vehicles or fans will make me nervous, so patience and kindness is very much appreciated. Once I feel comfortable, I absolutely adore spending time with my human family and enjoy being around people who understand my need for a gentle approach. After a nice walk, I love to relax with light behind-the-ear and chest scratches. I'll lay my head on your lap for some cozy cuddle time. I am truly the best and sweetest dog you'll ever meet! Despite the shelter making me a little nervous, I'm perfectly comfortable just sitting with our staff and volunteers, whether it's in my kennel or a more open space. Toys are one of my greatest joys! I love playing with all kinds of toys. Whether it's squeaky toys, balls, or stuffies, I'm always ready for some fun. They bring out my playful side and keep me very entertained. Having a variety of toys helps me feel happy and stimulated. Speaking of being mentally stimulated, learning new things is something I find exciting and rewarding. I'm a smart dog who loves training sessions, especially when lots of treats and positive reinforcement is involved! I've been really enjoying playgroups here at Wayside. It allows me to come out of my shell and play with other dogs. Socializing and bonding with my fellow fluffy friends is something I am really liking here. Though I can be a little scared or nervous at times, I am truly an amazing boy who can't wait to show you my cuddly and playful side! I am so excited to start this new journey together! Please note that in order to make the best match possible, potential adopters must come to the Wayside Waifs in person to meet with an adoption counselor and complete the adoption process. All members of the household (including other pets, if possible) should be present to ensure the chosen pet is compatible with everyone. We do not place holds or do adoptions over the phone and we do not ship pets.
