LOCATION: Toledo, Ohio DOB: 01/01/2023 Meet Biggie, the Lovable and Protective Great Dane-Mastiff Mix Introducing Biggie, a big boy with an even bigger personality! Biggie is an early riser, usually up around 6:30-7:00 AM, and likes to go into his kennel around 8-9 PM. He’s not a late-night kind of guy! When he needs to potty or feels nervous, he will pace back and forth through the house. This affectionate boy loves to give you his paw and hugs, and he will follow you everywhere. His favorite spot is right next to you on the couch, where he loves to snuggle. Despite his size, Biggie is a laid-back dude who prefers lounging over high-energy activities. Biggie is a bit shy with strangers at first, but if you have some treats, he will slowly come to you and let you pet him. One thing he does not like is hats—anything on your head will scare him, and he will bark until you take it off! Biggie is a lovable lug who needs a home with a 6-foot fence, as he is known to be a runner when scared. He is very protective of his home and will growl at people coming in, but with some pets and treats, he warms up and becomes great with them. It just takes a little time for him to feel comfortable. He loves stuffed toys and bones and enjoys being around other dogs. Biggie may do best in a home where he can have a doggy companion. He does very well with older kids (12+) and gets along with cats. Biggie is potty trained with no accidents in the house and can be in his crate for at least 6 hours without issue. He has been working on his door-dashing tendencies and is making great progress. He loves car rides, taking walks with a slip lead, and doesn’t bark at other dogs. He loves to lay and roll in the grass, enjoying the simple pleasures of life.
