My Story

All Planned Pethood dogs and puppies are altered (spayed/neutered) and fully vetted prior to adoption. Dog breed is a best guess by the vet and/or Petfinder breed expert findings. We cannot guarantee breed, weight, age of dogs or final adult size of puppies.

Betty is a 2 year old, 88 pound St. Bernard. She was rescued from a local pound where she landed because her family was going away for the weekend and left Betty outside in the fenced in yard while they were gone. Betty escaped & landed at the pound. Betty is a very sweet, special girl. She gets really excited when her foster mom or dad gets home after being gone any amount of time. She greets at the door with a dancing tail and a huge grin! She’s a little underweight but eating well. She’s very affectionate, loves to cuddle and will sleep in bed with you. She doesn’t leave a whole lot of room though!! She likes to be brushed and will need to be as she has a beautiful long, heavy coat. She really dislikes taking a bath. She’s afraid of fireworks and gun shots (her foster mommy lives by a gun club). She will pace and get very nervous. She even tried to hide under the bed! She’s still a little leery of going outside after dark, but she is getting better once she realized she was coming back in. Her foster mommy thinks she’s afraid of being left alone outside. She likes to have someone with her and needs constant reassurance when out. She a very lovable girl waiting for a forever home!
