Benny

Check out the video! Benny is a sweet 5 month old dachshund. He was the last in a litter and the breeder gave him away to the first person who offered to take him. His rescuer placed Benny with Almost Home so he could be neutered and vetted and placed in a loving home.

Benny is a sweet, playful dachshund. He likes the other dogs in foster care and is a snuggler! He is not housetrained but is working on these skills in foster care (11/29/07- he is doing better with housetraining!).

Benny is neutered, utd shots, kennel cough vaccinated, heartworm tested and had a hernia repaired. His adoption donation is $100. We require an adoption application, references, adoption contract and home visit. We only adopt to families in SD, MN, NE, ND, IA.

Important things to know before you contact us:

If you are out of state, it does take time to process your application and find a home visitor from another rescue to do your visit. Please be SERIOUS about adopting a dog from our rescue before submitting an application.

The application is the first step. After we receive and approve a completed application, we will schedule a home visit.

Almost Home is run from foster homes. We have no facility for the public to come in and view pets.

We do not ship our dogs.
